This December, our kids will ask for Astro Boy merchandise.
Astro Boy is a cartoon, our kids are seeing now in TV. This December, this cartoon will come to the cinema.
Early critics of the film are saying that it was wrongly executed, in the sense that the art direction appeals more to Adult, rather than the Children. I think wrongly or rightly that was a marketing decision the Sony Pictures have taken. Who knows, Sony may have been betting that the children will not care less about the storyline, as long as their Astro Boy gets to whip a lot of baddies and emerge victorious at the end. Perhaps it is their parent/ guardian than needs to be entertained. They the ones who pay for the tickets!

Sony Pictures had ensemble a big set of cast to voice the film. Amongst the notable names are Nicolas Cage, Samuel J Jackson, Charleze Theron, Donald Sutherland and many more.
So when you take your child to cinema this December, listen to the musical score. You will see what I meant there. A 95 piece orchestra play its music.
