But where does the world go from here. So one day, one by one the real human dies. This is where the film takes a switch. Much like the Star Wars, sci-fi films thrive on conspiracy theories. ‘Surrogates’ has a character named The Prophet and the prophet has many followers.
Leave the prophecy aside, the question is who kills the humans. Here you need to be cautioned. The characters in the film mixed up a lot between the ‘human’ and the ‘surrogates’ who do look, act and talk like the ‘human’. i.e. the character can die in one scene but reappear again, since the real human is still alive.
End of the film, it presents you the question whether creating the surrogate is a good idea after all.
