This is it. What else to say.
The fact that Michael Jackson is a phenomenal is well known. But what makes this man sooo phenomenal is the planned concert at the O2 London.
You see, normally top artist will do a world tour. They will perform one or at most 2 nights per city. However, since the chosen venue in O2 Dome London is quite small, Michael Jackson planned for 5 nights. Mind you, the O2 fits 23,000 peoples – Melawati Stadium Shah Alam fits in 13,000. Putra Stadium, Bukit Jalil fits in 16,000. So, Michael planned for 5 shows that theoretically will entertain 115,000 peoples. That is huge…

Remember when the Spice Girl did a reunion tour. They first set 3 nights concert in the same O2 Dome and their tickets were snapped up within 38 seconds. The fans were required to pre-register and once the sales commence, they do a balloting. Since the demand was so huge, at the 39th second – the organiser announced of another 2 shows. The same thing happened and all in all, the group did a 17 nights show. That’s the record for London and the Billboard Magazine recognized them as the winner of the 2008 Billboard Touring Award.
But who is the Spice Girls compared to Michael Jackson? So the first announced 5 nights were sold out like nobody’s business. They immediately increase the number of performances to 10. That will draw theoretically 230,000 peoples. But still Michael has not been performing for soooo long. The guys who were moon-walking at schools previously would have been very successful middle level managers by now. Request for corporate sales was so high that the number of performances was increase – to a staggering of 50 shows – from 13 July 2009 to March 6 2010. That means total capacity of 1.15 million peoples would have watched the concert.
Alas, manusia merancang and Tuhan yang menentukan. Michael passed away on June 25, 2009 – 2 weeks before the show started.
Still, no other artiste comes near. This film is a compilation of what he left behind-lah.
